We are excited to share that AHEZA IWACU has been selected to participate in the Huhtamaki Circular Economy Program by Food System 6! We will be joining seven other leaders from across the circular economy to receive mentorship and grant funding to support us as we scale our impact.
We are looking forward to engaging in eight weeks of online mentorship, advising, and networking through October and November of 2020, culminating with a week of immersive virtual programming. Each participant was selected based on their commitment to pushing for sustainable solutions, as well as their unique and timely innovations across the impact areas of: circularity, healthy people, vibrant farms, sustainable ecosystems, and justice & fairness.
AHEZA IWACU is part of a larger effort worldwide to usher in a more sustainable future through the circular economy. Circular solutions seek to move away from highly-centralized, linear production and consumption models that historically have been highly extractive of resources and have generated substantial unintended environmental consequences.
